As a Consultant with KI, Mr. Stone Fish has managed projects, training clients in the innovation process and ensuring the development and testing of high priority business cases for new products and services. In a recent project, he helped a major organization focused on digestive health to develop new-to-market and new-to-world products. During this project, Mr. Stone Fish was instrumental in moderating focus groups and analyzing data to understand consumer problems and needs. The resulting portfolio of new product concepts were valued by the organization at over $50 million in potential sales.
In addition to working with KI, Mr. Stone Fish manages the Innovators Connection, the connection arm of Chicago Innovation. managing relationships with clients within the Corporate-Startup Matchmaking program, providing needs-based connection making between startups and large corporations so they can develop strategic partnerships and new business opportunities. In order to identify new start-ups, products, and services that could be beneficial for the corporations, Mr. Stone Fish works closely with small businesses, analyzing their business models and helping them prepare for introductions with larger organizations.
Mr. Stone Fish also manages the Winners Connection, which provides ongoing support in retelling the story of past Chicago Innovation Award winners through introductions to media partners. He acts as the liaison between the Chicago Innovation team and past winners.
Outside of typical work hours, Mr. Stone Fish is heavily involved in Second City improv, with near-weekly shows running at Second City and around Chicago. He also directed the documentary, What Is America, which placed in Chicago’s Social Change Film Festival, and has recorded multiple musical albums.
Mr. Stone Fish is a graduate of Northwestern University, where he studied communications and marketing.
